Can you see the difference between blu-ray and dvd?

A lot of people say they look the same. Blu-ray looks better to me.

It doesn’t matter, the war is over. This time Sony’s Blue Ray won.
Blu-ray’s resolution on a 1080p television looks phenomenal.
You mean regular DVDs? Are you kidding? They look completely different. You just have to have the right TV.
Even a dvd played on an upconverting player does not compare to the quality you get from blu-ray on a 1080p tv over hdmi.
They are FAR from being the same. If you have a high def tv, then blu ray is a must, it changes your movie viewing experience, I highly recommend it.
Yes, Some newer DVD does look good in most case, but Blu-ray still has edge since it has like 5 to 10 time mores bit rate both in sound and video. TV play much better factor, if you don’t had hdtv, blu-ray don’t do anything.
