do u have it hooked up to hdmi ?
well there is multiple ones for this one make sure the TV is indeed a 1080p and that the HDMI cable is hooked up to it (this is a special cable that does not come with the system) if this does not work check the game system settings from your PS3 main menu there should be an option to upgrade the picture to 1080p and it will inform you that you need the cable for it to work.
First are you using an HDMI cable to transmit the video from the Ps3 to the TV? second of all you have to have the ps3 under setting set to output 1080p. In the ps3 Manual there is a step by step direction to get from the main screen to the setting menu to the video out put settings.
